Why I’m interested in this program:
It took me nearly a quarter of a century to stop and wonder how food affects me, animals, and the environment. Truth is, we’re all interconnected. When I became vegan a few months ago, I felt like I had discovered pieces of information that had been kept a secret from me and many other people in this world.
I just can’t sleep. Part of me keeps second guessing myself and my decision to take this summer position for a nonprofit. I can’t help but think I’m not cut out for this. I told them the answers they wanted to hear in my phone interview. But I can only be myself in person. Fuck, I can’t eeeven be myself. I’m in a state of overwhelming anxiety about failing at my responsibilities. I’m on the national level here. Failure is not an option. Neither is backing out. I just don’t have confidence. Idk what happened with me. The coffee barely helps. Is it the detox from my alcohol consumption for the last two months? (-Not kidding) Am I in a state of shock from graduation and the expectations set before me?
I feel like a lost soul sitting in an office staring at a computer screen. When the day is over I just want this experience to be over as well, but with a product to show. 9-5, how do they do it?
